A very relaxing holiday the hotel was in a great location to walk the citys many attractions

Breakfast choices excel with options like haggis, fruits, and a full Scottish fry-up. The bedroom provides a comfortable feel with everything required for a solo traveler.
A 15 to 20 minute walk to the city center can be a stretch for some. Despite the proximity to bus stops, the location lacks immediate attractions and the surrounding area feels a bit uninspiring.

Breakfast choices included cereal, muffins, and a hearty Scottish fry-up. Room cleanliness needed improvement, with dust in corners.

Easy to get to and in an area which felt safe, shops and places to eat nearby. Breakfast was adequate and check out was dealt with efficiently
I advised that the televison was faulty and I got a shrug and a lame excuse.I felt that although it was clean enough it was not smart , minor repairs were needed in the shower and the toilet seat was wobbly not enough to complain about but irritating. I felt that who ever checked the room should do so from a customers point of view and not as a proprietor. however I would give it a go again

A bus station is in front of the hotel, central location. Decent sized rooms complete with nice towels, pretty good coffee plus paintwork peeling.

Peaceful hotel, fairly clean, rich breakfast, handy location in a lovely quiet area. Well-appointed and brand-new room, with central heating, an iron and a work desk. Very very helpful and exceptionally welcoming staff with a helpful manager, very spacious bed.

Here's why it's a mixed review
The cute atmosphere. Breakfast choices were diverse and delicious, particularly the full Scottish option.
Room size was an issue, especially in the basement where space felt cramped. Cleaning standards were lacking with dirty towels.

The cleanliness of the room, the welcome, the breakfast and the price.
The walk uphill to the city centre (but it gave me some exercise)!

Our family loved the variety of breakfast choices! The kids were thrilled with the full Scottish breakfast, and I appreciated having fresh fruit available. We felt at home and found the location convenient for our day trips in Edinburgh.
My kids wished for more space to play around.
